AndroidThinkTank.com is dedicated to the developement of PA's or Personal Androids. We Could Do More With More! We believe that a viable remote controled Personal Android could be massproduced at a low cost with existing technology! We also feel that a National Android Program would be the best way forward! A REMOTE CONTROLED ANDROID IS A TOOL THAT HUMANITY NEEDS IN IT'S TOOLBOX!!! How many generations will go by before we take the PA's role in our future seriously? Right now the technology exists to make a remote controled android! It would be controled like the game Doom, where the controller sees through the eyes of the android. The notion of off world mining would be one role that they could be used for. The construction of habitat in a remote or inhospitable location is another. Thier uses are limitless and the need unrealized by most. What if we as a society are at our height of civilization! What if a giant asteroid or NEO{near earth object] strips away our ozone layer and even most or all of our atmosphere. If we already have the capability to manufacture remote controled androids it would make life and the future a little easier to survive. The civil society that we take for granted might be something that goes away some day and never returns! When that day comes it will be too late! How many mass extinctions have there been? Was earth the only planet effected? Did the rest of our solar system have a mass extinction? We are living and dieing on this planet just as those before us did...I have yet to see a human skeleton imbedded in rock!.,like the dinosaur fossils!..oh yea, where is the NEW petroleum and where did so much come from?There have been many android programs done by various groups and individuals. This bunker mentality of isolated developement of androids has benefited very few! To Nationalize an android program seems to be the one thing not tried. Instead of millions being spent by a developer...Billions or even Trillions could be spent ,thus greatly enhancing the developement and production of a PA/or "Personal Android".If we do not standardize parts and create a Universal Android Chassis then it is buisness as usual! I cannot go to Wal Mart and buy an Android...this is the free market at work!..still NO android. The only way to generate enough money for a Universal Android Chassis with Standardized Parts is to have a National Android Program that can participate in an International Android Program...thus having the entire World Community to participate!!! This would create an Industry that is practically non-existent at the present time. A National Android Program...is NEEDED! This would speed up the developement of a walking talking android.Making androids available to everyone. Not to mention all the cool jobs and fun that comes along with something COOL like Androids! If the standardization of the android chassis was done like the PC was...then every Country arround the World that chooses to may participate can have thier own National Android Program that works in conjunction with every other Nation that is perticipating. The result would be revolution in android design.When USA establishes a base on the Moon it will become necessary to have an android crew for routine deliveries to the station. It would be advantageous to build the shuttle for human use and for androids to pilot when just running supplies back and forth. By using androids for this it will use considerably less resources to operate like oxygen,water,and food. Thus maximizing cargo capacity. In a pinch the android crew could be replaced with the human crew...this is the reason to have human style cockpits in all shuttle craft...thus spurring the need for the androids.
